The main message of these videos is that Iran is resisting the United States. The clips are garish and not subtle at all, but people vigorously share them. Dr Emma Briant says the term “slopaganda” is too weak for this “highly sophisticated” content. He explains his team uses Lego-style graphics “because it is a world language”. However, the videos contain factual inaccuracies. For example, US officials confirmed a downed pilot was rescued on April 4. Yet, Mr Explosive claims there was no rescue operation. Since the current conflict started in February, Explosive Media videos have grown enormously in popularity. Mr Explosive says it is “honourable to work for the homeland”.
